The Rhode Island School of Design Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) Open House invites admitted students to experience the department firsthand through a full day of presentations, studio visits, and community engagement. The program begins with coffee and informal welcome conversations, followed by a departmental overview and Q&A session. Visitors will tour second-floor studios, hear directly from faculty and students about current coursework, fieldwork, research, and travel experiences, and connect one-on-one with students during open studio time. Lunch offers small-group conversations with faculty, thesis students, and critics, and the afternoon includes guided campus tours featuring key spaces such as the library, Nature Lab, Sustainability Lab, shops, and thesis reviews. The day concludes with optional attendance at thesis reviews and opportunities to explore campus resources, providing a comprehensive and immersive look at the MLA community and curriculum.
